“Hi people. Today was just too good !! Good people, good vibe, good music. It’s real Hip Hop. :)”
Bboy Romain (Switzerland)
“Yesterday was SUPERB. You managed to bring back the Coalition feel. The vibe was brilliant.
Good on you.”
On Sunday 9th October, we had our first Social Dance Party at the Brighton Youth Centre. It was an opportunity for the kids, parents and teachers to get together dance and experience how Hip Hop started back in the DJ Kool Herc days!
DJ Shelley Mack was on the “wheels of steel” spinning old skool breaks, RnB and Hip Hop tracks. JP was on the mic hosting and dancing away. Frankie and Hayley strutted their stuff down the Soul Train. Lee Payne (our Tap Funk Fusion teacher) was tapping away on the funk! The kids battled and freestyled during the party and some of the parents “got down” to our massive “join in” – Love Train by the O Jays!
It had a truly great atmosphere and we can’t wait til the next one in November! Be there! DON’T MISS OUT!
